How Does It Work?
EBT/SNAP Customers
We are excited to accept and double SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program aka EBT) payments for CSA Shares through our partnership with the Georgia Fresh for Less Georgia. Members using SNAP will be asked to swipe their EBT card every month for half of the total price of their share (up to $50 per order), effectively making $1 swiped = $2 in fresh veggies. We are currently only able to double (or discount) the value for purchases of fresh fruits and vegetables. SNAP members can use their EBT to pay for egg shares, meat shares, bread shares, and coffee shares at the full price.
If you are interested in participating with your SNAP benefits or have any questions, reach out to us via email at team@atlantaharest.
You cannot use your SNAP benefits to pay for the membership.
Step 4: Coordinating Pickup
As we begin the Fall/Winter season, subscriptions will be for pickup only. You’ll be able to choose one of three locations available at the moment.
Atlanta Harvest Market in Ellenwood, The Third Space in Old Fourth Ward, and La Bodega in Sylvan Hills.
Order pickups will be market style so we recommend bringing your own bags/baskets (or anything you want to bring to carry your items). Just like shopping at our store you’ll be able to grab the items for your order yourself (unless you’re also picking up an order from our online store). Our team will be available at each location for 1.5 hours at different times for each location.
P.S. If you have a business or location and would like to offer some space to be apart of our CSA pickup, please let us know!
Step 1: Becoming a Member
After starting your CSA you'll quickly learn that we treat our members like a big, exclusive family. Not only does being a member give you an automatic discount to your weekly/bi-weekly foodbox, but members get first dibs on everything! Reasons to become a member include:
First picks of the new harvests before the store
Fresher, same day harvested produce selections
Access to our catalog of recipes
First access to content about gardening, farming, and daily farm life
In-store and online discounts
Membership is a one time $10 charge, but it will save you $10 on the first order you place with us each month. Becoming a member is not required, but is highly recommended.
Step 2: Choose your CSA size
You have two options:
A Small CSA contains 7 seasonal fruits and veggies each week. This size is perfect for one or two people.
A Large CSA contains a double share of 7 seasonal fruits and veggies each week. Each item in the larger box will have 2 of everything in the standard farm box. This option is great for a small family.
Remember that this all depends on how much fresh fruits and veggies you incorporate into your daily diet! If you are a home cooker then you might want to grab a large to keep your kitchen busy.
You are also welcome to purchase extra items from our online store at shop.atlantaharvest.com for us to bring to the pickup location along with your CSA order. Feel free to customize those online orders to your heart’s content!
Step 3: Choose your Add-On shares
This is where you can go all out!
We have a nice list of additional items that you can add to your subscription each week including:
Pasture Raised Eggs from Local Lands Organically Grown Gardens (our other farm)
Grass Fed and Finished Beef from Local Lands Organically Grown Gardens
Grass Fed and Finished Sheep Cuts from Local Lands Organically Grown Gardens
Fresh Baked Bread and Sweets from local bakeries (coming soon!)
Raw Cow and Goat milk from local dairies (coming soon!)
Tropical Fruits from Grenada, Mexico and other Caribbean Islands
Frequently Asked Questions
-
CSA or Community Supported Agriculture is a program originally intended to be a direct to consumer connection between a farm and its supporting community. Local eaters that support this model participate in shared-risk by supporting the farm at the beginning of the season through the purchase of a “share”. This initial support allows the farmer to purchase all that would be needed to farm for the season, including things like plants, seeds, soil amendments, labor and more. Membership provides better planning for the farms, maximizing potential and minimizing risk and waste.
Members then receive a weekly harvest based on their share purchase in a food box of a number of items harvested each week. What better way to have access to the freshest and healthiest food for you and your family.
More modern CSA programs are centered around a subscription model where the purchase of a “share” is not done in one lump sum, but priced at the size of the “share” that customers are interested in. Since we farm all year round, there will always be a share available for purchase.

We currently only offer pickup at a number of locations across the Greater Atlanta region including: Atlanta Harvest in Ellenwood, The Third Space in Old Fourth Ward, and La Bodega in Sylvan Hills.
-
Each share is different and based on the weekly produce availabilities that are communicated each week. You’ll be able to see this in your email. Your choice between share sizes will determine how much food you receive in each order.
-
The CSA benefits both you and the farm! Members get early access to the freshest produce of the season, avoid sell-outs, and enjoy a curated weekly share that makes seasonal eating easy, affordable, and inspiring. It’s a great way to try new vegetables, cook more at home, and reduce trips to the store.
Beyond the produce, CSA fosters community. Members are invited to farm events like potlucks and tours, connecting you more deeply to the land, the food, and fellow members. CSA members also receive discounts on farm merchandise and ticketed events. For the farm, your up-front or consistent support brings stability, lowers food waste, reduces packaging, and helps us plan harvests with confidence—especially during busy or unpredictable times. And we love getting to know you through the season!
-
At this time you cannot customize your share. The share is meant to be a way to get the freshest seasonal produce selected by the farmer. If you are interested in different produce than what is available week to week, or if you are interested in other items from the farm stand, you can make a separate purchase at our online store page.
